ABOUT

Originally from Mid-Atlantic region, AJ graduated from the University of Delaware studying Theater Production, Music Performance and Business Management. Having performed on stage as a musician, actor and dancer from an early age, AJ preferred the drama happening backstage after discovering the true driving force behind technical story telling: lighting (what other element can control what can and can’t be seen, or change the mood of scene instantly?)

While obtaining a Master’s in music education, AJ was fortunate enough to pursue his passion of Lighting by working at local theaters, schools and churches around the Greater Philadelphia area, interning at Comcast, designing landscape and architectural lighting installs, creating small local themed attractions, and hopping on the occasional concert or dance tour across the country. Prior to joining Encore, AJ worked as an Entertainment Technician for Cordish Companies and as a Lighting Assistant at QVC.

AJ is currently a Lead Lighting Technical Specialist/Designer at Encore Orlando region, working specifically with Disney Event Group.

With a diverse experience of theater, corporate, concerts, themed attractions, touring, broadcast, architectural, landscape, installs and special events, AJ truly believes that lighting can make any event into an immersive experience.
